Supporting the healthy development of children's feet

With around 3.7 million pairs of shoes sold annually, superfit is one of the leading children’s shoe brands in the European specialist retail. Our designs, created using lasts that are particularly suitable for children, are not only the preferred choice of parents and children but are also recommended by 98% of doctors.* Ever since the brand was established over 50 years ago a perfect fit has been the guiding maxim of each superfit collection. We incorporate the expertise of our paediatric orthopaedic surgeons and paediatric physiotherapists in our product development. We believe that it provides an important basis for the manufacturing of good quality children’s footwear. We have also cooperated closely with DSI – Deutsches Schuhinstitut GmbH for decades, and all of the designs we develop are guided by the renowned WMS® width measurement system. Our collections offer designs that are easy to put on, feature functional removable insoles, are made from breathable lining and upper materials and come with child-friendly fasteners. Our shoes are meticulously crafted and made from soft materials to ensure that they don not pinch anywhere. We also pay attention to lightweight and flexible soles that promote a natural heel-toe roll and to sturdy toes and heel counters for optimum grip and protection – to keep children’s feet healthy as they grow.

Perfect fit for every child and every occasion
To guarantee outstanding quality, superfit shoes regularly undergo audits and tests by approved independent institutes. We specialise in the “Direct Injection Technology”, or direct soling with polyurethane without the use of adhesives. This ensures that the shoes are not only particularly robust but also soft, flexible and lightweight, and therefore offer children optimum wear comfort. We are constantly incorporating new technologies and constructions in our product development. Each season, we create around 600 products and, on average, three new indoor and outdoor footwear groups for boys and girls suitable for all kinds of occasions. Our range covers all ages, from toddlers to teens – i.e. from EU size 18 to EU size 42.

The superfit Environment Plan

Within the scope of our company-wide sustainability initiatives, we are also driving the sustainability of our superfit collections. superfit’s Environment Plan summarises our respective measures and illustrates our commitment to ensuring that our shoes for children are manufactured in a socially fair and resource-saving way. All of the leather linings and removable leather insoles in a legero collection are chrome-free tanned and meet the strict threshold value standards of our in-house development platform VIOS®. This means that they meet the strict criteria of the VIOS® Restricted Substance List and are tested far more rigorously than required by the law and the industry standards. Our entire slipper collection is made exclusively in Europe and we also offer vegan designs that are PFI certified.
