Growth segment barefoot shoes: superfit strengthens Barefit collection HW 26

March 3rd, 2026

Consumer demand for barefoot shoes remains high – a trend that is clearly reflected in specialist retail. superfit, the children’s shoe brand from Austrian shoe manufacturer legero united, is responding to this with a targeted expansion of its Barefit barefoot shoe collection for the Autumn/Winter season 2026, further expanding its expertise in this high-growth segment.

With six groups for outdoor and indoor use, superfit now offers a wide range of barefoot shoes. New is the unisex winter group WALDERI, which combines functional winter suitability with a natural walking feel. A warm lining in combination with a sealed membrane and insulating PU sole with non-slip tread makes WALDERI a barefoot shoe for snow and cold days – and a highlight in the market. The successful SUPERFREE 2.0 first walking shoe has also been further developed: it now features an even more flexible, thin sole for maximum ground contact, a non-slip tread and an asymmetrical last with plenty of room for movement. The VENTI range rounds off the barefoot shoe offering for indoor use.

“Our Barefit barefoot shoe models are particularly flexible thanks to their innovative construction and the materials used. They stand for maximum ground contact, 0 drop and optimal space for thrust and growth. With WALDERI, we show that a real barefoot feeling also works in winter. And with SUPERFREE 2.0, we are consistently developing our successful model further. We attach great importance to combining functionality with child-friendly, stylish design,” explains Vessela Carrillo, Head of the superfit Business Unit at the Austrian manufacturer.

For shoe retailers, superfit’s expanded barefoot shoe collection for Autumn/Winter offers a clearly profiled range in a dynamic growth segment – from first steps to winter outdoor adventures for older children.
