Future fit: legero united expands its Executive Board

January 7th, 2025

Graz, 7 January 2025. Austrian shoe manufacturer legero united, umbrella for the brands superfit, legero and Think!, is expanding its Executive Board. In preparation for a generational change in the company’s management, Florian Fuchs, nephew of owner Stefan Stolitzka, will take over responsibility for Sales, Marketing, HR and Finance as Managing Director from 1 January 2025. He will also act as Managing Director of the Think! Business Unit. Stefan Stolitzka, Managing Director since 1991 and owner of the Austrian shoe manufacturer since 1994, in which ara AG became a minority shareholder in 1997, will remain responsible for product development for the Business Units superfit, legero and Think! as CEO. The Executive Board will therefore consist of Florian Fuchs, Morten Bay Jensen and Stefan Stolitzka from 1 January 2025.

Passing the baton to the next generation

legero united sees itself as an owner-managed family business with more than 150 years of experience. Staying in this tradition, keeping to operate independently and ensuring that the next generation of the family continues to lead the company is a strategic priority for owner Stefan Stolitzka. ‘Appointing a family member to the Executive Board ensures stability, especially in times of volatile market conditions. This will benefit our employees, trade and our partners,’ Stefan Stolitzka is convinced. After several years at Deloitte, the Boston Consulting Group and as Managing Director at MM Group, Florian Fuchs joined legero united as Director Executive Projects in May 2024. ‘Florian has familiarised himself extensively with all business areas and is well prepared for his new role,’ confirms Stefan Stolitzka. ‘Over the past three decades, legero united has developed into a leading international shoe manufacturer. We want to continue on this path. I see great growth potential in our brands and our capable global team of over 2,100 employees and look forward to working with Stefan Stolitzka and Morten Bay Jensen to drive legero united’s business development forward,’ says Florian Fuchs.
